Overview:
Experienced full-time investigative analyst position specializing in investigations, due diligence, and litigation support. Conduct research and report findings. Limited hybrid option available after introductory period.
Essential Job Functions:
Research and analyze news, business, and social media as well as corporate, legal, and regulatory records for information in open sources and proprietary databases.
Conduct complex and sophisticated analysis. Identify gaps and inconsistencies in the intelligence/information gathered.
Verify and corroborate pertinent and noteworthy findings paying particular attention to quality and accuracy. Organize findings and data methodically to facilitate analysis and reporting. Communicate findings by preparing concise, analytical reports with clarity using excellent written English in a timely fashion.
Consistently interact respectfully and professionally with others.
Maintain the integrity, professionalism, philosophies, attitudes, values and intentions of the company by assuring that all rules, regulations and legal requirements are followed.
Perform accurate timekeeping and tracking of case-related expenses.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong research, analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
Excellent proofreading skills.
Exceptional attention-to-detail.
Ability to contextualize and analyze complex and potentially unfamiliar topics.
High level of curiosity, resourcefulness, and tenacity to “figure things out.”
Creativity and flexibility in addressing specific case or project needs with the ability to pivot quickly to different priorities.
Exercise discretion in the handling, retention, and communication of confidential and sensitive information.
Strongly self-directed but with the ability to work respectfully and professionally with others.
Ability to work efficiently and quickly.
Prior investigative or research experience required.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Comparable experience may be substituted at the company’s discretion.
Preferred but not required:
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Russian.
Proficiency with public record, investigative, and financial research resources such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, TLO, EDGAR/SEC and government-administered civil litigation, criminal record, property and corporate registration databases.
Postgraduate degree.
Private Investigator License or other relevant professional license.
Physical requirements:
Minimal lifting or carrying; significant sitting/standing required to conduct research. Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment.
